A UK perspective
You are not "moving to Morocco". You are moving from the UK to Morocco, and the British side of your position — HMRC, the Statutory Residence Test, your pensions, your UK property — is half the work.
UK → Morocco relocation advisory
Relocating from the UK to Morocco is not a change of address. It involves residency, tax in two systems, pensions, property, banking, family arrangements and healthcare — and the pieces constrain each other. BritInMorocco exists to help British nationals understand how those pieces fit together around one person's move, before they commit time, money or their future.

Why we exist
British people can find information about Morocco. They can find information about UK rules. They can speak to estate agents, notaries, accountants and banks. What is hard is understanding how all of it fits together around their move — and what should happen first.
A decision about residency affects tax. A property purchase raises questions about account type, title, taxation and inheritance. Retirement involves pensions whose treatment depends on what kind of pension they are. A family move adds a procedure with its own long lead times.
The problem isn't a lack of information. It's knowing which of it applies to you.
What to expect
You are not "moving to Morocco". You are moving from the UK to Morocco, and the British side of your position — HMRC, the Statutory Residence Test, your pensions, your UK property — is half the work.
Morocco is not one experience. Prefectures, courts, banks and the tax administration work differently from what you are used to, and from each other. We deal with them in person, in the language they work in.
No romanticised promises and no pretending every move is straightforward. We focus on the decisions, documents and sequence that deserve attention before you commit.
We take no commission from estate agents, sellers, developers, notaries, banks or accountants. Sometimes the answer is "yes". Sometimes it is "not yet". Sometimes it is "not this way".
Every rule we rely on is checked against the Direction Générale des Impôts, GOV.UK, HMRC or the relevant Moroccan code before we act on it. Where something cannot be verified, we tell you that rather than smoothing over it.
We are not a law firm, a tax practice or a regulated financial adviser. Where a regulated opinion is required, we identify it, bring in the right professional and manage them alongside the rest of your file.
Philosophy
Don't sell the dream first. Understand the reality first.
Method
Understand your situation. Where you are, where you want to be, what you are actually trying to achieve.
Identify what matters. Residency, tax, pensions, property, family, healthcare — which of these are live for you, and which are irreversible.
Build the sequence. What has to happen now, what can wait, what needs specialist input, and in what order.
Do the work, or coordinate it. Where you instruct us, we prepare and file, deal with the counters, and manage the notary, accountant or lawyer alongside the rest of your file.
Keep you informed of where the file actually is — rather than what the standard timeline says.
A person, not a portal
"I built BritInMorocco around a simple observation: people considering a move from Britain to Morocco don't need more information. They need help understanding which information matters to their situation, and what to do with it."
"A relocation looks simple from outside. Once you are dealing with residency, property, tax, pensions and banking at the same time, the connections between them are what decide whether it goes well."
"Our objective is not to sell Morocco. It is to help people understand the move properly, ask the right questions in the right order, and decide with confidence — including, sometimes, deciding not to."

Why two entities matters to you: the service is built around the space between the two systems, not around a purely British view of Morocco or a purely Moroccan view of Britain. It also means there is a UK company, subject to UK consumer law, behind the fee you pay.

Where to start

Research is useful and we cite the primary sources constantly. Our role is to organise the questions around your circumstances, tell you which ones matter, put them in order, and identify where a regulated professional is needed.
No. We identify the question and coordinate the appropriate qualified professional.
